We need your help to name our newest diesel engines currently known as 2D and 3D!
We need you to suggest new names for our diesel engines currently known as 2D and 3D.
Engine 2D is already operational, and Engine 3D, which was delivered late last year, is due to come into service in April.
The winner will be asked to switch on the £15m engine and receive a £100 voucher. The winner’s name along with the engine’s new name will be engraved on a plaque which will be unveiled when Engine 3D is switched on.
We need you to put forward two names that complement each other and give a reason as to why they should be chosen. You can enter as many times as they like but you must suggest two names that are appropriate!
Entries can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to: Name the Engines, Electricity House, Northside, Vale, GY1 3AD
The closing date for entries is 28th February and the winning names will be chosen by a panel, which will include representatives from the community and employees from Guernsey Electricity.
