‘Some customers like to pay their bills in person, so working with Guernsey Post, we have developed this new service to make it more convenient,’ said Clare Packman, communications manager at Guernsey Electricity.
‘Over the past three months, we’ve been actively letting customers know the cash desk on the Bridge is closing on Saturdays. This new service means they can still pay in person on Saturdays at the Bridge post office or another branch in Guernsey. Our shop on the Bridge remains open as normal during the week and on Saturdays.’
Cassandra Fish, head of customer relationships at Guernsey Post, said the new scheme was a great example of two utilities working together for the benefit of customers.
‘We are very pleased to be able to work with Guernsey Electricity to provide our customers with the convenience of paying their electricity bills in any of our Guernsey Post Offices. Customers will simply need to bring a copy of their bill when making the payment and we’ll do the rest,’ she said.
