1. Contact all service companies and arrange to have meters read where applicable i.e.

2. Settle milk and paper bills.

3. Transfer insurance cover to new home.

4. Arrange the removal (It is advisable to book well in advance) and/or start packing!

5. Label each piece of furniture for location.

6. Inform banks, credit card companies, schools, doctors, dentists etc of your new address.

7. Consider changing locks in your new home.

8. Redirect post.

9. Clear the property and grounds of all personal rubbish/unwanted items.

10. Empty the cesspit.

11. Obtain house keys from estate agents. (You will hand over the keys in court).

12. Before leaving for court make sure your house is locked and secure.
