STANDARD CONDITIONS OF CONNECTION QUOTATION NO.
GENERAL
Unless otherwise stated this quotation is open for acceptance within three months of the date hereon.
This quotation is subject to adjustment to reflect any changes in the cost of equipment, materials or labour which are made between now and the time the work is executed.
Guernsey Electricity reserves the right to utilise any of the apparatus installed to provide a supply of electricity to any other customer without any liability whatsoever to compensate you.
It is the customer's responsibility to provide an adequate earth for the electrical installation. Guernsey Electricity will not accept responsibility for such arrangements and where the customer uses the earthing terminal provided by Guernsey Electricity, such connection will be entirely at the customer's risk; alternatively, the customer may provide a separate earth electrode.
If at any time service extension submains from Guernsey Electricity's termination are required, written consent must be obtained from Guernsey Electricity.
Any project which involves the excavation of the public carriageway/footpath is subject to permission from the Constables and Public Thoroughfares Committee.
This quotation is based on normal reinstatement; any extra costs incurred in order to comply with additional Public Thoroughfares Committee requirements or occasioned by exceptional site conditions would be charged as an extra.
Should rock or other obstacles be encountered during the excavations, the additional costs involved would be charged as an extra (at the rate applicable).
Should the agreement be terminated by yourselves after acceptance, you would be required to forfeit the whole or part of the deposit to the extent that Guernsey Electricity becomes liable to pay for equipment ordered which is not suited for any alternative use.
Once cables have been laid and equipment installed, if any subsequent third party damage is caused to Guernsey electricity's equipment then the cost of the repairs will be charged to the site owner.
Commencement will be subject to payment in full, the above conditions being complied with and wayleaves and consents having been received together with all necessary plant delivery and is subject to site conditions being acceptable to Guernsey Electricity.
You are required to advise us in writing when the site is ready for the installation of the connection.
