Employees were invited to submit their photos of Guernsey’s iconic landscapes and scenes to be included in the calendar. The wining photo on the front cover, ‘Moulin Huet’, was taken by Sam Thompson, who chose the multiple sclerosis charity as the beneficiary.

Chair of Multiple Sclerosis Society Bailiwick of Guernsey, Linda Fermont, said: ‘The ‘Guernsey’ Multiple Sclerosis Society is extremely grateful to Guernsey Electricity and in particular, Sam Thompson, for choosing us as its charity this year. The funds raised will help us to support people living with MS in the Bailiwick, by assisting with day care costs for those in the community, who require occasional respite at the Leonard Cheshire Home.’

Five different employees contributed to the final product, which includes photos of L’Ancresse, Saints Bay, Amarreurs, Bordeaux and Vazon.

‘Our calendar this year looks really great and everyone is delighted with the final product. We always have a lot of fun putting the calendars together and it’s fantastic to be able to raise funds for such an important charity, while showcasing the creative talents of our team,’ said Clare Packman, Guernsey Electricity’s communications manager.

The 2019 calendars cost £3.00 and are on sale at Guernsey Electricity’s shop in Vale.

Last year the calendars raised £1,800 for local animal charity, The Guernsey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA).
