ClickB4Udig is a FREE online and telephone service that enables you to check for cables in the vicinity. We advise you to do this well in advance of the commencement of works and where there is likely to be a high density of cables, allow extra time for planning the work and hand digging.
At best, cutting through or crushing a live electric cable can be inconvenient and costly. At its worst, a damaged cable can result in serious injury or even death.
It is therefore essential that you check the location of cables in the area if you, or anyone employed by you, is planning any of the following:
*Where properties are to be demolished contact Guernsey Electricity and arrange to have the service Cut Off. This is not the same as a request for a Meter Disconnection where the supply cable to the meter will be left live.
