During the winter months, from 1st November until 1st May, Age Concern operate a 'Winter Fuel Fund' specifically to assist any Guernsey pensioners who struggle to pay their fuel bills.
All applications are treated in the strictest confidence.
Each case is assesed individually and Age Concern reach a decision as quickly as they can, usually within a week. If the application is successful, a voucher for £165.00 will be issued
that can cover any fuel – electricity, gas, oil or solid fuel.
If there is greater need, a further application can be made and additional support will be considered.
This is available to all Guernsey pensioners. It is not necessary to be an Age Concern member.
The application process is not intrusive. All that is required, is that an applicant completes an application form, which you can do in the comfort of your own home.
