Grange closure from Friday 1st March

This essential work is being carried out as part of the ongoing Grange investment works and will enable GEL to upgrade the existing low voltage pillar and streetlighting.

Please be advised, the Grange Road will be closed to all traffic from Friday 01/03/24 until Wednesday 13/03/24 in order to continue the essential upgrades to existing infrastructure in the area which commenced earlier this year.

La Couperderie will be one-way during this period, with diversions through Brock Road, Vauvert and Victoria Road (plus a lane reduction on Doyle Road). St Julian’s Avenue will remain open to traffic as normal.

The bus routes affected are 31, 41, 42, 51, 52, 60, 61, 71, 81, and N2.

Following the completion of these works, the junction between Doyle Road and Vauvert in the Grange will then close from 13/03/24 to 06/04/24 in order to facilitate the replacement of a low voltage distribution pillar and the required network upgrades.

We apologise for the disruption caused, we understand it's particularly frustrating when roadworks affect such arterial routes on the island, regretfully these works cannot be avoided. For further details on the closure please consult the Road Information Map.

This essential work is being carried out as part of the ongoing Grange investment works and will enable GEL to upgrade the existing low voltage pillar and streetlighting. The works will also act as enabling works for the upcoming Doyle Road closure and infrastructure upgrade.
