During Christmas all customers with prepayment meters will benefit from our additional “friendly times” – which will run for four days over the Christmas weekend.
During these times, if you run out of credit on your meter, your supply will stay on.
This year’s “friendly times” are as follows:
Christmas
From 4.30pm on Wednesday 24th December (Christmas Eve) until 9am on Monday 29th December
New Year
From 4.30pm on Wednesday 31st December (New Years Eve) until 9am on Friday 2nd January 2026.
Customers are advised to check their balance on the meter before topping up before Christmas and New Year to make sure that they stay on supply.
Emergency credit is now £10. If possible, please try to avoid using it on Christmas Eve in case you need it on the morning of Monday 29th December.
