  Apprentice Electrician
  Kickstart your career with Guernsey Electricity and play a part in powering island life. As our Apprentice Electrician, you’ll learn from our team of experienced electricians, working hands-on in our commercial team across domestic, commercial and industrial work. With structured training, mentorship, and support, build the skills and confidence you need to grow a long-term career in the electrician trade while making a real difference to Guernsey’s future. You’ll gain recognised qualifications, develop practical technical expertise, and become part of one of the most reliable trades teams in Guernsey.

  Apprentice Jointer
  Interested in becoming a skilled technician able to install, connect, test, and repair our island's complex underground electrical cables and network equipment? We're looking for someone with a good standard of education and willing to develop their skills to join our distribution team. Through this fully funded, City & Guilds accredited program, you'll learn the precision craft of installing, maintaining and repairing essential underground cables, switchgear, and distribution pillars. Beyond the hands-on work, you'll also master advanced cable-tracing equipment, interpret complex route drawings, and safely diagnose network faults.

  Apprentice Substation Fitter
  We're looking for someone with a good standard of education, a keen eye for detail, and happy to travel for fully funded UK training to help us install the island's essential substations. Through this City & Guilds program, dive into the heavy-duty mechanics of our network where you'll learn to install, commission, and maintain large transformers, high-voltage switchgear, and complex control systems. You'll get hands-on with fault-finding, safely replace vital distribution links, and work on upgrades that improve performance across the island. Alongside supportive mentors, you'll also learn to map out site visits, coordinate project resources, and lead working parties, growing into a vital specialist keeping Guernsey connected
